You guys are doin' turkey trots, right? I think I'm gonna sign up for one in Williamsburg... have yet to ask Saa if she'd like to too! woooooops.

I marked the Jingle All the Way 10k on my calendar (Dec 13th). Aaaaaany interest?

  1. yes! I keep meaning to mention that one too, I definitely want to do it. I'm kind of terrified of a 10k for some reason, haven't run since the marathon and I'm assuming I won't be very good anymore. But I think it would be good.

Patrick Rainey is also doing that, and I think his parents are too!

  2. OOf. i was just talking about this with Greg and he pointed out the course: http://www.runwashington.com/news/1977/

Hains point .... cold!!! But, i'd still do it. I need motivation! My runner's guilt is wearing off and I feel all stiff and bumbly every day. My 2 nights a week of flailing in the water isn't quite enough exercise....

  3. Turns out my family is doing Thanksgiving on Saturday this year, so I might just hang out here Thurs and Friday.... are you still planning to do the Arlington turkey trot, R? I'll join ya! And then we'll see how we feel about building up to that 10k...... :)

  4. weeee!! yes I'm signed up for it and everything! Zach had saiddd he might do the trot with me but now he's planning to go out to some concert the night before and will probably not do the race. so if you're in town that would be super awesome! :)

and you can feel good about it too because the money goes towards Doorways for Women and the local homeless advocacy group or shelter or something for the homeless!

  5. Ooh Goody! i'll sign up. Pity it's not chip-timed, buuuuut. who cares, really.

Yay Doorways! That's a good fundraiser. Though i gotta say, I really wanted to do that Williamsburg one because it's catered by a really yummy restaurant. I can't help it! Food > charity!

  6. Also! Either of y'all wanna go for an easy 3 mile run just to tune up for turkey trottin'? Saturday morning maybe? There's a craft sale in Lyon Park from 9-3 that day, so maybe we could run 'round RachEL's and then look at cutesie stuff?

  7. I'd be up for running Saturday (though I'm scared to call it easy, I haven't run since the marathon!) as long as we don't get too crazy tomorrow night at Beth's. ;)

a note on the craft fair - I'm definitely up for it but don't get toooo excited, last time I went there wasn't a whole lot there. there will likely be baked goods though yummmm.
