More runs?

Hey frnds!

R&A (and Sara too, if you want!) - Wednesday run this week? Yes? If you guys want, we could start at my new place, I got my living room and kitchen [mostly] all set up and I'm super excited about it. I think I've figured out where that Bluemont Trail crosses nearest to me (seemed like there was a crossover right on Kensington - did you see it, R?) so I could work out a little map of a trot for us.

Also, DC Road Runners are doing another cheap little weeknight race on Tuesday, 8/3, starting in Bluemont Park. It's only $5 for nonmembers, but at the Bastille Day race, Puja signed up as a member and it never asked for any verification of her membership (she had an expired one). So. You could actually do it for free. Thought I might suggest it cause it's cheap and then we'll have some hydration provided for us and accurate timing is always a good motivator! I know it's your track-training night though, Amber. They do a lot of other little races n things, you guys should check it out: http://www.dcroadrunners.org/races.html (there's an 8k this Weds too, location TBA, if it's not inconvenient, I could be down!)

  1. yes running Weds! depending on where it's happening, I could be up for the 8k with the DCRC, but if it doesn't work out I'm fine with meeting at yo place Elizabeth! I'm excited to see how your apartment is progressing!

aaand I am pretty sure I'm Definitely down for that race on 8/3 in Bluemont. Is it a 5k or another 8k?

  2. Oh yeah, the 8/3 race is just a 5k, starting at 7pm at the lower pavilion - which I think is where the Run for Julia started that one time.

But yeah, I'll keep an eye on where the 8k for this Weds ends up. Was originally supposed to be Belle Haven, so if it's that far out, I probably wouldn't bother. I also saw something about them doing a Stride Clinic next week at W&L HS, not sure if it's just for members, but sounds like it could be educational!

  3. RUNNING WEDNESDAY FOR SURE!!!! What's your new address Liz? I could do 8k depending on where it is and what time it starts?

How far do you guys want to run tomorrow? I will be fairly slow (more than usual) and will not be offended if you guys leave me in the dust.

  4. Oh, I shall update our google spreadsheet of contact info!

You know it's only Monday, right, Amber? You said tomorrow, but I don't think you meant it. The more I think about it, the less I want to do that 8k race. The Rockville one Sara and I did was pretty tough in this heat and it started at almost 9pm. Maybe we should do a little less and take it real slow? No need to keel ourselves out there.

  5. I fully support not killing ourselves out there! we could just do the ol' "out and back 20 mins each way" and not worry toooo much about how far we actually go.

  6. Frnds:

What time are we meeting on Wednesday? And did you want to do something afterwards? Because if not I am going to go googly eye spencerperson, but if so I heart you guys more than him and want to hang out with yous more.

And if you think I'm kidding when I say I'll be super slow tomorrow... I'm really not. Between being sore and having new shoes, I'll probably be in the 12 minute per mile range so I won't feel bad about having to eat your dust.

    Also,

    BANGERANG

  7. Wednesday - 7 or 7:30 maybe? just so it won't be quite as darn hot. Also, my place didn't come along in 2 days as much as I thought it would. I kinda want to hold off on reveeeeealing it! We could go back to meeting at EFC maybe, since I think that's more convenient for you, Aber?

Ok I won't mind if you're slow if you don't mind that I DOMINATE you. bwahahahaha bangerang!!!

  8. yeah I'm fine with meeting at EFC at 7 or 7:30 weds. if you guys can think of something you want to do with 10 bajillion limes, I would be up for hanging out after! my mom did a wedding over the weekend that used limes as centerpieces I guess, she brought me just SOME of the leftover limes and it's a bag full of probably 50 of them. well at least 25. soooooo if yous want to come back to my place for margaritas or limeaide or some crazy thing, I'd be up for that (el charrito is really close to my place and really CHEEP).

    just an idea..
