man that would fit perfectly with our training schedule. unfortunately I still might be going to maine that weekend, but if I don't go to Maine, I would do that race! I'll probably know within the next week if the Maine trip is happening.
The entry fee for this one goes up on July 17, so we'll have to keep that in mind! I'm pretty sure now I'd def like to do it.
Lynn wants to do Rock n Roll Va Beach Half. It works with our training schedj as well (Sept 6, Labor Day weekend)- any interest? It's whoppingly expensive, but I'd be willing to gulp it down, cause I could pair it with visiting my folks (and any one else is welcome) and going to the music fest and having some beach time.... Can't remember what your opinion of that race was, Amber! All i remember is icky underwear in the hotel room! Or was that for the Shamrock race? OR BOTH??
As for Rock n Roll, we'd probably have to book our hotel now-ish or we'll end up with a dirty panty room. I liked the race and I like VA beach courses cause they are nice and FLAT but I don't know that I'd want to do it. For both RnR and Shamrock the traffic getting down there was a mess and the traffic coming back was nothing short of a cluster fuck
Oh yeah, the traffic itself is enough to deter me. I haaaaate driving down there on holiday weekends. I probably won't even bother with a hotel though, just cause it's rather close to my parents house and I might as well be cheap and stay there(which will mean leaving about 2 hours before the race to get there and find parking, but oh well).
Did i mention BOYZ II MEN will be performing? (and Heart and Black Crowes!)
Just FYI! I'm gonna sign up for Rock n Roll tonight, if you wanna think about it, Amber! They are doing a deal where the first 70 or so ppl get giftcards and stuff starting at midnight tonight (so late!) cause it's the 9th anniversary of the race and tomorrow is the 9th. I would prefer a discount on the registration fee, but I'll take a giftcard! Lynn wants to do it, so I'll have a buddy, but more buddies is always good!
